I think the simplicity of the design really showcased the venue in that way. Michelle did an incredible job on their florals as well. The simple greenery is still on trend and I loved the potted orchids, which guests took home at the end of the evening.
When I met with Ashley and Ben to discuss the overall style and aesthetic of their wedding, they said they wanted things to feel bohemian and loose with a heavy emphasis on greenery. So we made sure to use a variety of lush foliage including Italian ruscus, sprengeri fern, and various types of eucalyptus to achieve the look they were going for.
With no real interest in having traditional floral centrepieces, we decided to do tall, lush potted orchids that the guests could take home with them at the end of the night. To dress things up, we added reaching branches and dried botanical accents to add interest and shape, making each and every centrepiece unique and different.
Airship37 was the perfect venue to have this type of hanging greenery installation, as the soaring ceilings really allowed the piece to organically drape and sway in the breeze while still standing out in contrast to the crisp white walls.
